Zebra in graphite

zebra-graphite-web

This zebra is one of many I have drawn.  I love their patterns.  This one is just simple woodless graphite pencil on watercolor paper.  His stripes and the foliage in his surroundings just blend together to create another dimension in drawing.

The pencil is Pentalic Woodless Pencil by M.Grumbacher (w.Germany) and it’s a 6B.  I  love it.  If you have not drawn with this pencil, you are missing out on a great experience.  I have had my collection of these pencils for 30+ years so I don’t know if they still make them.

I loaded this artwork onto a new FB art group.  It was an instant hit and it just goes to show you that you never know who is watching you on social media.

Here he is on my Red Bubble site
