2 sheep friendship neighbors

I’ve been working on this friendship theme for a while now. Here is another idea with a different color palette from a pen and ink sketch of 2 barnyard sheep. This theme won’t let go of me. I love barnyard animals, and simple designs. I love playing with new colors and fun brushes. I also am using some new fonts just for kids. This one is Doodly: loving it and all the glyphs included too. I enjoy putting words together in unexpected ways. The next variation will be half as simple as this one….which I feel is painterly. I’m looking for something more graphic. Don’t you just love to play with art? It’s kind of like cooking. A little of this and some of that. Here it is on a tee

Alphabet letter F

Here is the letter F for the alphabet book I am working on. This fantasy bird is completely created with digital feather brushes. I had a lot of fun doing it and even though it isn’t a popular subject, it’s what I want to do. I picture it as a book in English and Spanish. This could be a complete time sink me thinks. I’m have a habit of doing projects that are too big for me but here goes. This is not a kids’ color palette but that can be changed. I have put it on products as a tester to see what people think of it. Personally, I like it a lot but I’ve been known to be prejudice.

Here it is on some products to have fun with.

Valentine kid rescues a white cat drawing

So here we are facing February 14. This watercolor sketch is a sweet kid who has rescued a little white cat. He is surrounded by pink hearts. I love to draw this way. with the addition of fonts and fun. Of course the background comes in whatever color you wish. See it here

A B and C alphabet party kids

Once again I find myself working with the alphabet. I think it’s my destiny. I have closed my office door because the cats have captured some poor critter under my rolling tool cabinet. I never thought living in this sweet place would yield me so much wildlife havoc with my loving, merciless cats. Lately they are constant hunters. I don’t mind as they have caught quite a few mice and a couple of rats and a hefty squirrel. sigh
So back to the design of the day. I’ve been working on coloring my line art. This is a png file slightly reworked. View the collection on my products.
It’s kind of hard to jump around the world marketplace especially with so many venues and so many millions of designers. I have added another POD site which is very useful as it gives me additional perspective. Consider that people seem to care only for trends and that is now the name of the game. Overwhelming. Redbubble has six million views a month and I think Amazon merch has over 20 million a month. That is more than my little brain can absorb. So I press on because I am doing what I really enjoy so that’s what I’m doing during the pandemic. I do what I can with what I have. I think that’s a line from “The Aristocats” movie, somewhere in the ’70. Maurice Chevalier and Za Za Gabor voice overs. delightful music I remember.
